Default Ear Plugs

Who wears ear plugs when riding ? I'm looking for some that will allow me to hear music and surroundings sounds like cars , trucks , sirens ect , but cut down the wind noise and exhaust drone especially on longer rides. I believe this will also reduce fatigue. Over the years my ears have endured too much loud noise , tools , bands , stereo's , ect , they ring all the time.

Looking at a couple different ones and wondering who has first hand knowledge or ones you would recommend.

Buy the cheap disposable foam ones.

Be sure to roll in your fingers to reduce the size, then pull your earlobe back (reaching behind your head) when inserting.

Find a shooting range nearby. Custom silicone ear plugs are becoming more and more popular, and more places are doing them. You can get them solid, with ear buds inside, or my favorite just has a very small tube all the way through. It just attenuates the really loud stuff. $90 is what mine cost. Worth every penny.

I just bought a container of these... I'm tired of my ears ringing every time I get off my bike. I probably rode to many years without them, but no more. Well for short in town trips and back/forth to work, not needed, but
when we are out and about all day riding. Ear plugs are going to now get used

The ones that work best for me are made out of yellow foam, are about a half inch in diameter and look like they were made out a very small pool noodle. They come in a paper container with one pair inside.

but when i bought mine, they didn't have the retainer cord. i wear earplugs every day. the only time that i don't, is when i am not going to be exceeding 35-40 mph, like when i'm on post. but between my house and work, i have 15 miles of 70 mph. thats enough to do damage, so i'll wear them then.
