I'm wondering where I can buy a mounting bracket for my Thunderheader. I got it used on ebay and it didn't come with one. I've got a little bootleg bracket rigged up for now but I don't know if it will stand the test of time like the proper one would. It is Thunderheaderpart #1173. Everywhere I look sells exhaust and heat shields but no brackets.

Are you talking about the bracket that is attached to the right front of your engine, or the one that supports the *** end of the collector?
It's the rear bracket. I don't think mine uses an engine mount. It is Thunderheaderpart #1173. I can't find anywhere that sells these brackets, and when I asked my dealership about getting one, they said they'd have to talk to the manager about how much they would charge meto order it.They never called me back. I'd just like to buy it from somewhere that has it and has a price listed.
i'm too lazy to see what model bike that thunderheader fits. i am changing my junk around next week and will no longer be needing my rear bracket. if it will fit yours you are welcome to it for 20 bones and shipping. basically the price of materials to build the new bracket after i raise my thunderheader up. i have an 06 dyna so if it will work pm me or reply and it can be yours.
I have look at thunderheader.net. They don't sell the parts direct. I'm just gonna have to get someone local to order it for me I guess. That will eliminate the possibility of price shopping without a big headache. Oh well, they're only Harley parts. How expensive could it be?
