Default Stinking Lousy Harley Tires

My rear tire only lasted 4 months on my new Road King. The Honda Magna that I just sold was 23 years old and still had the original tires on it. Oh wait, I put more miles on my Road King in 4 months than I did on my Honda in 23 years. Never mind.

I've got 6,200of mostly two up highway miles. I still had about 3/32 - 4/32 left but I decided to go ahead and change it ahead of the Colorado trip. It was starting to look pretty flat across the middle of the tire. The dead bike problem was a bad starter relay wire in the main harness. They have no idea why it burned in two. It wasn't rubbing against anything. Probably cheap Chinese wire. When that wire's out, it will crank over just fine but no spark or fuel pump action. If it craps out on me again, I'll park it in a dark alley in a bad part of OKC.

Where abouts in NM did you go? We used to go over there every year when the kids were small.

I was about to trip out on you... Good to see you're not talking about buying a 'wing anymore.

It was about 1500 miles. 180 is a great hwy. Not much traffic at all and beautiful scenery. No twisties though.
