Harbor freight has torque wrenches for 12 bucks.
They work just fine.
Buy one of each.
1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch drive.
You will see the same wrench in other stores at 2 to 10 times the price.
You can afford to buy all of them.
I've heard horror stories about HF torque wrenches.
I bought a 1/2" drive from HF and compared it (in ft pounds) to my buddy's Snap-On and it was "right on the money"!
Later on I bought a used Craftsman 1/2" torque wrench at a flea market for $ 40.
I think I'll toss the HF one in the Tri-Glide (for checking lug nuts) and keep the Craftsman in the garage.
I would like to get 2 smaller (3/8" and 1/4") wrenches for "inch" pounds and I'll probably pick them up at HF.
Most of us are not pros (and not likely to use tools so much) so tools that cost less are usually fine as long as they're fairly accurate.
I think if you treat them decent a HF, they have different grades as well now or a Craftsmen is ok. HF ICON and QUINN selection is pretty nice. All that **** is made overseas.,
