Questions about torque wrenches
1 - Should I buy one torque wrench to cover all ranges of fasteners on a Harley? Or buy one for low torque and one for mid-high torque?
2 - What range should the torque wrench be able to handle?
3 - Which brand do you guys use and recommend?
4 - How often should I recalibrate a torque wrench?
Snap-On torque care article says: After 5000 cycles or up to one year of use, whichever comes first, have your torque wrench inspected and recalibrated by the manufacturer or reputable calibration service
So if a torque wrench has been sitting in it's protective casing on a shelf for a year without use, does it need to be calibrated?
5 - Can you calibrate your own torque wrench?
6 - Most torque wrench manufactures recommend that you do not use a socket extension with your torque wrench. How do you get to hard-to-reach fasteners (e.g. front cylinder head bolt) without using an extension?
