Hi I bought a Capri torque wrench off amazon but it doesn't work-broken. It was 20 -200 inch pounds. Header bolts are 96-120 inch pounds so that would have been fine. The are not too many in this range. Any recommendations ons good one?
Thx

wait, what? does 96-120 inch pounds not fall within 20-200 inch pounds? or are you meaning foot lbs?
Yes, the four nuts at the cylinder head exhaust studs are 96-120 in lbs....so your torque wrench should be sufficient i.e. the head nuts torque specs are within the range of the wrench. So I guess I am not understanding the issue. Are you familiar with how to use torque wrenches i.e. setting the torque?
Hi, Yes that is the correct range but it's broken. I tested on something first, set it to 20 in/pds and no click what so ever. It's broken so I'm looking for recommendations since I'm not willing to trust that brand again. OddJack, let me research the model...

Test it on something with much more torque than that. 20 in-lb is nothing really. You likely wouldn't even feel the click. Test it in the mid range on a bolt that you know has more torque. Set it to its maximum value and test it on your lug nut or something. You would never want to use a torque wrench at it's very minimum or maximum values anyway. It's probably fine.

I use 20 in.lbs to torque these 0-80 socket head cap screws
