Last night I changed my oil on my 05 Super Glide and my neighbor was over hanging out and helping. Anyways we were discussing how much oil to put back in. I thought it was three quarts... he thought 2.5 quarts.
Well when the oil stopped coming out it maybe was a little over a qaurt in the bike from the last original dealer change. NICE!!!
I am using mobil 1 synthetic and I have put in 2.5 quarts and just got done riding until hot for 6 miles because its in the mid 40's... I know I know. But even after being hot I am still below the full hot mark by about 1/2 inch. Should I just fill the bike up with the remaining 1/2 quart or call it good with where it is at?
Also I checked it with the bike on its stand while hot...
I had my wife sit on it last night upright and it was the same.
Thanks all.

Thanks all.
I always leave the oil level about a half quart low for reasons of heat expansion.
