Default battery

Hey, a buddy of mine just called from Michigan and said he was going to ride down for a couple of days (to North Carolina). He went to start his bike (it has been in the garage all winter) and it wouldn't start. He has had a couple of other battery issues so he is just going to replace it. He asked me and I didn't know. Does it have to be a Harley battery? Can he just go to a battery shop to pick one up? Thanks for the info in advance.

Yeah just tell them the type of battery or they should be able to look it up easy enough.

Tell him to get a glass mat battery such as a Odessey. Twice the power, triple the life, and no battery maint.. Cost more up front but well worth the money.

Yep, if he is "serious" about it, get an AGM (glass mat)
No runs, no drips, no errors
