I found out that Mobil 1 full syn was first made and sold in 74,, I remember trying it in my 74 Chevy blazer back then. So it must have been in 75 or 76 when I first bought some

 

I fish used Mobile 1 in the mid 1980's, I had a car that wouldn't crank over fast enough to start the engine when it got down to below zero temps. Had to park outside and no electricity for an engine block heater was available. When using Mobile 1, that car would start even down to -35 degrees. That sold me on synthetic oil.
