Default Synthetic Oil

Well I am due for my 1000 mile service and was wondering if synthetic oil is as good as some people say it is. What is the best oil out there? There are some that claim that synthetic oil runs cooler and protects so well that there is virtually no wear after several thousand miles.

Save your money! Frequency of change is more important than the differences in oil.

I think Harley-Davidson recommends nothing but synthetic for the higher revving Revolution engine. The difference in cost is slim, compared to the nearly $20k you spent on the bike. The right method is yours, investigate before you make a decision to change.
