Default Removing Harley logos from tanks on a 2009 Street Glide?

How are the logos fixed to the tanks? Can they be removed without damaging the pant?

Thanks

I have heard that a sawing motion with fishing line works pretty good. clean up with a goo remover.

Fishing line or dental floss, use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the tank badge and slide the line behind the badge using a sawing motion (back and forth) it will cut through the double sided tape and not hurt the paint. Clean up the residue with WD 40 and a clean rag. This will also work to remove the reflectors from the fenders and forks.

I used only WD40 and let it soak over-night. Applying a little pressure at one end, work your way to the other end with constant pressure. The badging will come off w/out any damage. I was also able to pull the 3M tape off in one piece and reuse it. Lucky!!!

60 # fishinging line go slow and steady. I did nt use heat or WD-40. But I used Meguiars Pre-wax to get the residual tape.

Go easy and if you do not use the emblems they sell on e-bay quick.
