Removing medallions

Can you remove medallions from your gas tank without ruining the paint?

Removed mine with dental floss. No damage at all.

Spiderwire type fishing line works very well also.

I never tried a medallion ,but I have taken the reflectors off of the forks and painted fenders. I used a heat gun and LIGHTLY apply alittle heat and pull them right off. then use some wax and grease remover to remove any left over double sided tape.

and how would you remove the glue? wd40?

goo gone works to remove left over adhesive.

get some 3M adhesive remover from an auto supply store. Use sparingly, let it soak in, reapply, and then use dental floss/fishing line. The emblems will come right off. Goo Gone will clean up any leftover adhesive, then wash, wax, and ride!
