If anyone else has the HD desk calander, today it asked the question;
What was Harley-Davidson's red, white and blue logo most of the 70's?
Answer, The Number One.
Whoa....That's spooky. I think it's a sign of some kind. I have an old AMF License plate Alarm on my bike that has the #1 logo on it so I think all this is telling me I need to go for a ride. Think I will do that in about an hour or so.
GREAT read, and good story behind it. The RWB #1 was the reason I bought my only store bought HD, a 76 XLCH, white with the #1 on the tank sides.
Just saw 3 of the 71 FX tank bibs for sale on EBAY this week. Wisht someone would make one in the pre-67 dash type.
Just dug this post up, I am trying to find a cap with the #1 logo on it, cant find one anywhere, anyone know of any shops that sell them
Thanks

Yeah, Harley found its way to the top of the hill and went on to win more flat track championships than any other manufacturer while using the famed XR750, which they are still using today. Here's a picture of Bubba Shobert who won 3 AMA flat track titles.
Only problem is Bubba Shobert won his three #1's on HONDAS!!!
