Default 80 years and the doors close tomorrow for Reggie Pink

It's sad but true, tomorrow is the last day. So long to a lot of nice people.

www.reggiepink.com

Interesting read on their history http://www.reggiepink.com/aboutus.asp

50% off motorclothes & 20% off parts. Doors close tomorrow & HD picks up the unsold bikes & parts on Tuesday...

They were a large dealership in a prime location. They will be missed.

I wonder if they ever sold that 09 black trike they had in front of the parts counter? Seems a shame that so many are closing their doors.

It was there today. My friend wanted to buy the silver Street Glide but 2000 off was it. Seems that they were better off letting HD take it back. From what I've been told the makeup isn't what this forum thinks it is, maybe 3K on a touring bike. And take off the interest they pay if it sits on the floor. Just saying.

Wow..Reggie Pink gone...that's sad. Is Fritz gone too? I bought my Nightster there back in 2008. I have been going to NewRoc the last few years and they seem to be holding on...hopefully!

Fritz's closed Stamford but Bridgeport remains open. I've been to NewRoc for a few things & always was treated well but I've heard a lot of negatives about them. Well, I guess they are it now & without the competition they can do whetever they want too. Maroney's in Newburgh & Danbury HD in CT. are the other options, a bit of a ride.

Wow, when I bought my bike in Stamford in May of 2008, That dealership was rockin'. Nothing going out for under MSRP. Man, it shows you just how bad things have gotten.

This is the saddest news I've read lately. Reggie Pink was the closest thing I ever found to the "old way" of doing business. They were true enthusiasts, really good people. I trusted them completely. Jane, my heart goes out to you and your mother and your employees. I know others have already left, but Anthony, George, Chico, Chuck, I hope you land on your feet. A sad day, indeed.

NewRoc? I don't like them. I don't like the way they do business. I don't like the way they "frisk" you on the way out the door (yes, it happened to me). I don't like the stupid "bring your jewelry in and get cash towards a Harley" crap. I don't like much of anything about that place. And it's only five minutes from my house, but I doubt I'll be going there much, if at all.

golfblues, time for a beer. You say when and where. I'll try to stop in tomorrow to say hello (goodbye) to Jane and the crew. Damn, this really sucks.

I just reopened this thread after removing several political opinions. Please read the rules of HDF and know that I will shut it down for good if it turns political again.
