Is it just me or are all the black out bikes....

No one has mentioned how blacked out bikes came about.Well back 30 years ago you couldn't buy very much for your bike. You had to, gasp, make stuff! You cut your pipes and welded them together, you painted them black. You had to make your forward controls, yep, you painted them black, except if you had alot of money then you could chrome. These guys now days remind me of little girls that go to the second hand stores so they can have the ghetto look without the pain!

Well black in bette then green-sorry not a green fan. My bike as tons of chrome and I love it, but I also love the blacked out look as well. I like rat rods so i guess the flat black look just is somethink i have liked for while now.

i can remember a year or two ago just loving the fatboy lo in denim black. i took a look the other... not so much.
i think the full blacked out look is dying a bit. i think stuff like that is cool when guys are doing it early on on their own to be innovative. once HD starts copying the style and mass producing it, it loses its appeal.

I have nothing against chrome (in fact, was looking into a Softail Convertible before buying my Fat Boy Lo) but it is high maintenance.
Blacked out bikes are supposed to be pigs (no maintenance)
