Default Is it just me or are all the black out bikes....

getting played out and boring? I forgot who had it in his sig when I 1st joined and I thought it was a joke but now I am starting to think it's true? Black is the new chrome?
Everywhere I look everyone is trying to blacken out their bike as much as they can. Hell I love black bikes as much as the next guy,my bike was black when I bought it and for the 1st year. Now Harley themselves are trying to black everything out? Noone likes color anymore?
Before....

after....

I was even considering going back to black this year but then all the 2010's came out with more blackouts. Hell at the bike ralleys I usually glance at them and move on to something that pops....I also ride my buds Nightrain when he has to go out of town and drops it off & I am trying to talk him into some color on it to set it off. Is it just me????

Black is the absence of color. LMAO.

To each his own. I'm sure you will get enough answers and they will all vary.

For most IMO it's fashion thing. It wasn't that long ago where everybody had all chrome, Hell some of those Chrome bikes were so bright when the sun hit them you needed welding goggles to look at them. I hope it goes back to chrome or anything else for that matter. Then I could get a good deal on there take off black parts.

lol,I'd like to have my motor blacked out like the 883R had but still I'd want the green I have to go along with it. I can't stand the Nightster motor with the 3 shades of gray. Like I said though I like black bikes but IMO the bandwagon is getting a little crazy & boring now. I know we all can't be the same and I don't want it that way, hence the reason I ask why everyone seems to be going the same way now....

Don't care what others own but I will not own some of the ugly bikes I see. Each his own.

I think chrome is very nice on a bike, but I do not want to be the person cleaning it...black is a lot easier to take care for me. Plus black and chrome mixture looks good together.

What other colors are there? I guess we could leave heat shields off the pipes and then they'd be that goldish, blue, red color...that'd add some color!

Every bike I've owned has been black, going back to the late 60's...

Every bike I'll EVER own will be black...

Trends?

Dark Custom?

Black is the new chrome?

I don't know anything about that ****...

I like black bikes...

And I wouldn't consider you to be in the group of going with the trend either. I like black bikes myself, that is why I bought mine originally & was heading that way until everyone started going nightster on everything.....it's popular to go black now, heck the only new Sportster styles to come out are blacked out. They are my favorite bikes but go look at the Sportster section and you can see it everywhere.....
