You are right about that... I was at the local dealer today looking at a new one. The more I looked, the more I like my old bike, and after hearing about the bushingless cam plate and rods, I really like my old bike. I'm planning a winter overhaul of my 01 since I'll be a little over 100K when I put it away in December. Nobody would want to buy it and no dealer would take it in trade, so I might as well rebuild it and keep riding it.

I'm not a wrench...What is a compensator and what is the difference between the ones used on 2010 models and the new ones for 2011. Does a "bad" compensator account from all the gear/transmission noise I hear from my 2010 FLHTK? Thanks for the education.

The cam plates have been bushingless since 2007 haven't they?
My 07 didn't have any bushings..
