Default Replacement Armor Insert

Hi guys,

I have a Harley-Davidson Chaos Jacket Coat Ballistc Nylon, PN #97374-07VM

I think it's discontinued

My real question is if anyone knows I can get replacement armor as the ones in the jacket are all degraded and broken

If anyone knows the PN please do let me know.

Thanks alot.

If you still have the old armor pieces, there are lots of places online and regular store front shops that sell the replacement armor pieces.

They do come in different ratings so just do an Internet search for the pieces that you need.

The body armor is in the FXRG line of apparel. They sell for $25.00 a pair, in either the lightweight or stardard version. I need some too, so I was just on the HD site the other night... Looking at them... and thinking "I should be able to make all four pieces in about 30 minutes". Hmmm, one of my wife's Rubbermaid tubs might have to be sacrificed...

if you check out the pieces in person you'll see that they did actually put some thought into designing them - the way they are cut and doubled up (as well as material) allows them to move around (especially in the elbow position) but still spread impact over a wider area ... worth the $25, but you can always find some used (lots of folks just take them out)

Thanks for the info guys.

I also asked from Zanotti, and they responded with PN #98071-05VR. I am not very sure about what I would be getting, so if anyone can help confirm if it comes with shoulders and elbows in a set?

And what about the back piece?

Unfortunately I have some description, but I could find nothing.

This is from the elbow part

Turtle P-005 "EK" Type A

The rest crumbled and nothing could be made out.

So a pair is consisting of just shoulders and another pair just elbows?

Yes, once I can understand what the description means I will definitely get a replacement set.

the pieces for the shoulders, and the pieces for the elbows, are exactly the same - your set should be 4 pieces (or buy 2 if they come in pairs - same parts for all 4 locations in the jacket)

the back armor is a separate purchase. if you get them and they don't fit, you could probably trim them (if they ended up being too large). They are held inside of pockets in the FXRG gear, with a small piece of velcro holding them in. the system works pretty well, imo
