Default Sissy bar ??????

What sissy bar do you all have for your women? I got a fat boy and the stock one is huge and my ole' lady is tiny and she says its too big. Any suggestions. My only issue is that she hasn't rode much so i dont wanna go too small.

Take her to a dealer and have her sit on a number of bikes with different size backrests. Some gals like the "fully enveloped" feeling of the Tour-Pak backrest on the touring bikes. Some are okay with just a little pad to keep them from flying off the back. My girl likes the wide touring backrest that provides plenty of soft support to her lumbar region, but doesn't quite come up to her shoulderblades. That gives her plenty of security and comfort, but still lets her enjoy a "free" feeling that preserves the spirit of motorcycling.

After she figures out what she likes, look through the factory accessory catalog and pick something that matches her feeling preference and your appearance preference. Harley sells a little of everything, in both fixed and detachable configurations, for most of their bikes.

the beckrest is too big?? I never heard that one. maybe she's using that as an excuse not to ride with you. tell her to lean forward and hold on to you.

or get one from a softail standard.

Detachable meduim-low. Looks okay without being too wide or too tall.

We did call 'em sissy bars back in the 60's-70's. They were tall and didn't have a backrest pad.
