2010 Ultra Classic. Same feeling in the floor boards when I'm in 6th, around 80mph. It's hard to explain - not quite a vibration, but more of a grinding.

Default Engine Stabilizer

TX-Skydiver, I've been working on this problem for a year. At times it feels like a small grinding or ball ping hammer tapping on my engine guard. Can't hear it, just fell it through my boots. Let me know if this solves your problem. I'll be performing a little R&R myself in the morning. My local HD dealership never took this upper engine stabilizer off.

Talking Torque Specs

For a 2009 electraglide, the torque settings are 18-22 ft lbs on the two stabilizer bolts.

Smile Problem solved

After riding this morning, I pretty much figured that the small grinding and knocking I was feeling in my highway foot pegs had to go. After having my local Harley dealer look for the problem and of course them telling me to ride it and don't worry about it, I dug deeper into the cause. I have a Power Commandar V so I decided to advance my ignition in the areas the knocking was performing at. (2750 to 3400 RPM). After a small adjustment to the advance side, I test rode my bike to find that the knock was worse. I then retarded the timing by 5% and the knocking was just about gone. I continued to retard the ignition until the knock and grinding feeling was gone. The bike runs like a new bike now. It only took 4 month's to figure this one out.
