With the exception of a 51 Panhead Chopper .. Had Nothing but Sportsters until in my 40's a lot of the reason was didn't have time for a lot of riding back then and the Sportster did fine for my need for 2 wheels then .. Since late 40's tried a few of all the family .. 62 now and quite happy with the Ultra and FXR4 figuring is the best of both worlds although always had a Sportster around for a 2nd ride in the past 10 years until decided the FXR4 was a better choice for a 2nd ride .. No regrets of 40 years of Sportsters ..

...or at least I was... chasing women, partying during the week when the opportunity presented, getting drunk every Friday and Saturday night, smoking two cartoons of cigarettes a week and making 10 mile runs twice a week with the company for PT. (US Army)
Now at 60, I've slowed down ( a little any way). I ride a SG but I walked into the dealer and fell in love with the looks. The tunes, the comfort, the weight, they're just xtras!!!

58.....first Harley ever and it's a Fatboy. I'm 6'1 and weight about 250 so wanted something bigger than a Sporty, but also wanted something small enough to do lots of short-medium rides on. We don't ride the super highways very often so the Fatboy fits the bill.
