Old folks Harleys and Young folks Harleys...

Didn't know Harley's were like other toys "Recommended for ages XX+" I believe it less tied to age and more to how you are going to use it, and what you want to do to it.

I guess I've gone the opposite of most guys. Started on a bagger at 15 (64 Duo-Glide). 58 now and riding a Springer Softail. Gotta admit the ole body don't handle it as good as it once did but I'm just not comfortable on a bagger. I need more room for my legs (bad knees).
Have been thinking a bagger with a cop seat might give me the room I need but haven't tried one yet.
Harley's are kinda like gettin laid in my opinion......The worst one I ever rode was still GOOD!!

Old folks on harleys are mostly fat, caucasian, almost ready for retirement bearded dudes and gals that barble about the good ole days and reminisce how awesome they are. I mean were.
Young folks on harleys are hipster wannabes that want to look cool and are more concerned about style than function
Then you have your exceptions that just dont give a truck and ride.
Im a young folk (30) with a road glide ultra, because the goldwing was too distracting and looks like a honda accord on two wheels.

Guess its hard to take the "bad kid" out of a biker.

I'm 48 now and pretty sure I'll still be riding my Street Bob well into my 50s. Even if I break down and get a bagger, I'm certain I'll keep my SB for bar hopping and general buffoonery!

65 and ride a Road King. Didn't ride for 30 years. Bought the bike when I retired last year and ride most every day. Sitting in Texas right now waiting for the rain to stop so I can head back to Prescott.

The OP's premise is flawed.
As best as I can tell by reading through the posts, there is no rhyme or reason and age does not play into bike choice.
There is no consensus of old man and young man Harley models
The reason most posted on here for their choice of bike is style.
Although it was never mentioned I have to assume price played a role at some level.
