Years ago, had a girl on the back on I40 coming into Memphis from a party in Ark, all of a sudden I felt the bike leaning to the left. When I looked back, I swear, her head wasn't a foot off the pavement(passed out drunk). I grabbed her arm and pulled her up, then pulled off on the shoulder.
After standing there a while for her to wake up some, we were going to ride on, Bike wouldn't start. I had to coast it down the hill, the wrong way on the Interstate to bump start it. Then turn around and pick her up.
15 to 20 miles later, leaning too the left again and another stop. When we got ready to try again, no hill. Had to flag down passing cars for a push start.
We made it to my house to get the truck but she fell on the couch and passed out again so I went to sleep too.
The next day, we finally made it to the house of the girl I was on a date with the evening before. Man she was pissed at us.
Oh, the one riding with me wasn't the one I was out with, the one I was out with wouldn't ride so had driven to the party. Man, the three of us had a strange relationship the next few years.

Yeap that could be one of the only situations where a passenger could cause a crash.

Reading all of these is the only time that I have ever thought about seat belts on a bike as a good idea.

My wife sleeps all the time. Especially on long trips. Never has been a problem. But I won't let her get on the back if I think she is drunk. I've left her at parties before. Gone home, got the car and returned to pick her up.
