Riding alone is meditation. It is my spiritual time.

...besides, I get along with everyone when I ride alone.

Most of the guys that I ride with on 'rides' are still working and I'm retired now. Enjoy this a lot. Also, with cell phones etc, it's a lot mor comforting knowing there's help available if needed.
To paraphrase George Thorogood, "When I ride alone, I like to be by myself".

A cell phone, and good insurance, is often the best passenger.

Riding alone is some of the best riding there is....no worrying about pleasing anybody but yerself. Stop where and when you feel like it. I like to stop at scenic overlooks and historical sites....with a big group you probably aren't gonna stop....and if ya did it means an hour long stop with everybody deciding at the last minute to take a ****, and etc. Alone you can explore little hardtop roads even if they end up dead-ending....no big fukn impatient herd to turn around....I've found some of my most favorite routes riding alone.

And if yer into talkin to locals, they're much more comfortable with a lone rider. I always get a kick out of some ancient 'church-lady' coming up to me at a gas station and talkin about the days when she and her now long-dead husband rode around on their 1938 Harley.

Do it all the time. My days off don't always fall on the weekend and I ride whenever I can. 300+ miles on a day off is a pretty regular thing for me.

Most of my riding is done alone. I like it that way but I also enjoy riding with others whenever I get the chance.

I like ring alone. I like riding alone with my wife 2 up (we just did a 1331 mile trip to So. Cal over 8 days and had a blast). I like riding in a group that I'm familar with. Riding with a goup of idiots is not fun. It's not about experience level, but rather about road safety and common sense (enough said about that). When I ride alone I like taking in everything around me. It's a great way to release a lot of BS that may be going on. Riding alone in less than favorable weather is also nice in it's own way.

I love riding alone. I do like riding with the wife, or a friend or two though. Mostly been riding alone lately. New Fatboy Lo isn't two up ready yet, and the friends I ride with have been grounded by their OL's lol.

LoL, have you tried throwing pebbles at their window so they can sneak out?

I have the opposite feeling. I think it was be great to ride with a group of friends. However I only ride alone currently so maybe i don't know how good i have it. It just seems like it would be great to travel with a group of friends.
