Hey everyone, does anyone have any suggestions on fixing the recalled problem of the 110 CVO engine? I am replacing the head gasket and I am having it inspected for possible cracked cylinder. So is there anyway to prevent any major damage on this? I don't want to replace the heads every 2k miles. Any help appreciated. FYI- no warranty left.
True, however Harley says they "fixed" the recall prior to purchase, so they aren't going to help any way what so ever. I am on my own to fix it, which is fine, but just don't want to replace the heads every winter.
Can always buy pn#94677 for $135 under service bulletin M1226 or pn#94676 (black heads) or #94675 (granite heads) for $767.69 under service bulletin M1225A
Are you saying the guys that bought used cvo are SOL to get this fixed ?
If you don't have a warranty or if the recall (head gasket) has already been fixed, then yes you are SOL. I called corporate and the dealership and since I didn't buy the ESP, they basically told me to pound sand. FYI, I only have 2k miles on the bike. I purchased it used with 4 miles on it! It originally was titled to HD corporate as a show bike. So as soon as they titled it, the warranty started to tick. I am SOL as far as fixing this issue.
