Features:

  • Versatile lace-and-zipper combination closure
  • Shock-absorbing Poron® 4000 cushion insole with arch lift
  • Steel-Flex® puncture-resistant stainless steel midsole meets OSHA standards
  • The zipper kit is optional.
The optional Zipper kit is a piece of leather that laces on the eyelets with a zipper between them. A common option for a duty boot.

I wear a 10 normally, with thin socks they are fine, with heavy socks the are a bit snug. Next time I might check into a 10.5. I have four different pairs now so I won't be buying any more any time soon. They really do last forever.

When I was in the Navy, a lot of guys had these and really liked them, they have a lace in zipper to jump in and zip and go.

I don't own a pair of those particular boots but I've owned many pair over the years. My preference are the ones with goretex as my feet have never gotten wet from the elements or from sweating nor do they get cold in the winter months. My latest pair http://www.redwingsafety.com/safety-...red-wing-brand were a little stiff for about 3 days but now they are perfect. IMO you can't go wrong with redwing boots.
