Anyone ever had a pair? I have been looking for a new pair of riding boots, I have a pair of harley riding boots but man.. they sort of suck. If anyone has a pair of the 4473, how do they fit?
Havent had those style. I do have a pair of their steel toe boots. I will always buy redwings for riding and work. They are comfy boots. if you get them i doubt you be disapointed.
Red Wings the way to go they take a little longer to break
in but like KBFXDLI said "because they last a long time." I have
a pair of non steel toe pull on boots that I keep meaning to
throw away they finley wore out after 13 years. I bought
another pair this year the Red Wing 1125.
The Redwings that I wear are 986's, they look the same except mine have hooks instead of eyelets at the top half. Makes it easier to lace. I've worn these boots for over 4 years and they are great. Never needed any break in and they have great grip. Now, the sole on mine are Vibram so that's a little different but I would buy another pair if these ever wore out.
I prefer the logger 8" because the lug sole sheds rocks and sand better. Also I buy the Chippewas but the Red Wings are pretty much the same thing. Just make sure you get a Vibram sole. I still have my first pair of Chippewas, they are 8 years old and still wearable. http://www.americanmadeworkboots.com...FaYRNAodzk0A8A
I wear the 971's, have 2 pairs one that I wear everyday for work (HVAC construction and service work) and a newer pair that I wear for riding. They have Vibram soles and are very comfortable.

Actually, those Chippewas look pretty nice. How do they size? Do they run big or small, I wear a 10 in HD boots. I'm over in Korea so I can't exactly find a pair to try on.
