Yeah, yeah whatever! Something I saw somewhere.

O.D.E. if they are anything like the representatives that I see lounging around outside the dealership giving non-members the stink eye......save your gas.

Quote: The Louisiana state rally was here last year. I honestly considered going to see what it was all about, but the "registration" fees were retarded. Plus you can't even go unless you're a HOG member, which I'm not. You'd think they would love to have your entry fee even if you weren't HOG. Fug 'em.
Well, it IS a H.O.G. Rally, why wouldn't you have to be a member??

never been to a HOG anything ... but last year I was at a dealership when the group was heading off for a ride. 30+ bikes ... noticed the ride leaders giving a lot of direction. when to leave, what lane, follow him, now stop and wait ... on and on ... looked like an assembly line instead of a ride.

Looks more like Sturgis to me. Except there are no 15 year olds pushing baby strollers.

Around here the ones I have met are douchebags. Not saying all HOG Chapters are. They can be found at the local HD dealer on a weekend. On the other hand, I am considered a loner and have few friends, so maybe I am the problem.

Yeah I like the smart *** comments as well as the helpful ones. I was beginning to wonder if any would be serious.

If you're anti-social like most of the people on here, then you probably wont enjoy it. My wife and I go to our state rally every year and its really just a good excuse to go ride for the weekend in another city. We have another 3 or 4 couples we ride with who are HOG members and we all go together. If anything, find out where they are doing demo rides and spend the day riding different bikes.

I see you are from CB. If you're looking for an old school rally, check out the Freedom Rally in Algona. They must be going for the younger crowd this year headliners Saliva (fri) and Puddle of Mudd (sat). $35/single or $55/couple for 4 days if a SMRO member. It's on private property. Nakedness and cheap beer, FYI not all nakedness is good.
