Default Looking for a project

I'm looking for advice on my next endeavor. I'm looking for a second bike. My current bike is a street glide that I will never part with however I miss having a " fun" bike. Second to riding I enjoy wrenching on bikes. I'm no expert but I have tools and can read. So the question is what bikes should I be looking for? No sportsters just to small.

I picked up a Dyna. Wasn't exactly a project. If you're leaning toward a Harley you may want look at getting a FXR.

If a sportster is too small ya really aren't looking for a fun bike? My fun bike is a wheelie crazy hot rodded drz400 supermoto . It will smoke a stage 1 glide past 100! If ya really want some fun and do some wrenching, pick up an old cbr900/gsxr750/SS900! Otherwise if ya got to stay harley get an fxr.

I love the old ironheads. I had a 73 I rebuilt and a buddy had a 76. Both had fat bob tanks and other touches. Wouldn't know they were a sportster unless you saw the base of the motor. Dead nuts reliable for the most part. The engines are stout and simple.

That being said, once I finish this current road king ill be getting another ironhead or an old shovel. Area can dictate prices so look around ad wait for the right one. Kansas kustoms and led sled make great hardtail kits for the ironhead too. I wanna try that with a shock mounted seat. Just a bare bones, drag pipes, kick start old bike

Oh, and ironheads can be had dirt cheap. So just sell it if you don't like it

In our area you can find shovel heads at a decent price and parts are fairly easy to find..

I've got the Glide for the highway and a 73 Ironhead for the bar hopping. I'd like another Shovel some time.

Oh, and a Pan, and a Knuckle too.

I just picked up a 02 FXDP and it's a freaking blast...If i was getting it just for me i would've got a inline 4 metric like a old CB900 or KZ1000...those things are crazy cool and fun...This 02 Dyna is for my Wife primarily but it ifine enough for me to ride also...She wants a Heritage but for $5k it was the best i could find...
