Default Recommendations on Second Bike

I've currently got an FXDX in the stable, and I've had a few "club style" dynas- I'm looking for some diversity. I don't care about being cool or hip, I just want a fun bike to ride. Being a second bike, I don't really care to break the bank because it's just kind of a backup side project to tinker with.

I've always been interested in owning an FXR to see what all the hype is about...but something about spending $10k on a 30 year old motorcycle that's been wheelied and jumped doesn't tickle my fancy. Plus the unavailability of parts. I can't just stroll to HD and grab a piece, BUT I suppose as a second bike it could afford to sit while repairs are being done.

I REALLY like the FXRT/FXRPs, but again, for the reasons listed above, I'm skeptical. An old heavy bagger with an 80" motor, old gauges etc turns me off, and it would probably turn into a money pit with all the mods I'd want to do. The below pic really makes me wet though.

I've also looked at the Kawasaki KZ 1000 Police Special just as a cheap alternative. I've seen them for $1800-$3500 so I wouldn't feel horrible if it wasn't as fun as I thought or get buyers remorse. I'm sure I could clean up a few things aesthetically and get my money back or maybe flip it.

Lastly, is just going the totally opposite direction with a sporty chopper. Just a light fast old school soul machine that would be fun to rip around on...a little bar hopper that might make me appreciate the dyna more. Pictured below is what I like, minus the flames.

I'm open to suggestions, I'm totally ok straying away from HD, but for the most party I like a cruiser seating position, no crotch rockets for me. Let me know thoughts!

I don't want to do a street/road/Electra though either!

Yeah I keep getting dyna dyna dyna and "clubbing it out". Getting bored. It's solid and does the job as a daily commuter and handles the canyons blah blah...but I just wanna have fun. I honestly don't care how slow or uncool the second bike is...just want to smile!

If my spouse were to let me get another bike for pure fun and if it were another Harley I'd be going the Sprtster route. Prior to my Dyna I briefly had the sportster 48, dang that was a fun bike

Been leaning toward sporty, I like the Roadsters, but I'm falling into the same trap with mags, dual discs, dual gauges, light weight, good handling. Gonna end up building a mini Dyna haha...
