Default 1991 fatboy won't stay running

I'm trying to help a freind out, he has a 1991 fatboy, he can't keep it running, it starts fine an will run good for about 10 min, then will shut down, like the power was turned off, an won't start back till it cools down...has anyone heard of this issue? Please help

Remove the ignition sensor cover (on the end of the cone shaped thing on the right side of the motor), you will see the sensor. With the bike cold, hit the sensor with a blow dryer until it is really, really hot. Try to start the bike, if it will not start the sensor needs replacing.
You can also run the bike until it shuts down, then hit the sensor with a can of freon spray, or the like and see if the motor starts, if it does, replace the sensor.

You may also try replacing the main 30 amp fuse/circuit breaker. Was a known issue for 90-91, even a recall if I remember right.

Evo bikes are super easy to work on. Fuel, compression and spark, you got those and the motor runs.
