Default Lower fairing difference?

What are the differences between vented and non vented lower fairings other than the obvious?

Why are the speaker pods different? What else is there?

I'm thinking about putting lowers on my 15 RG for additional speakers, and may want to run 6x9's in them.

Your thoughts?

I suggest you ask in the Touring section, where more members are likely to see your query.

I am unaware of any vented lowers that accept a 6x9 speaker. The pods are different on vented lowers to allow for the movement of the vent. I don't know what color your bike is, but if it's black the Mutazu lowers are worth the purchase price. They fit well and the finish is acceptable. If you have some less common color and need to paint the lowers to match you might be better off with factory color matched lowers. http://www.surdyke.com/AdvSearch.asp
