Engine light

I Have an 03 fatboy w/ injection, just recently had it tuned after installing s&s 510 cam system. Now when I fire it up the engine light comes on for 8 sec and goes away, it does it every time I start it. Any educated guesses before I have to shell out for a diagnostic?

Have you checked the DTC codes?

The 10 sections it shows all say clear

The Engine light comes on during the self test, so if there are no codes no worries. You only need to worry if the light doesn't go out.

That's what I thought but after doing all that work (first time flying solo on engine work) I'm just a bit jumpy

Yup, last time I changed the PC3 fuel mixtures in on my 2005 Softail Deluxe I got a code the first time then cleared it and it never returned. My engine light comes on for about 8 seconds but will start during self test.
