It all sounds like good advice to me. My bike isn't 'stored' during the winter as there always seems to be nicer days that I can get out but, if the weather/road conditions keep me off it for a few weeks I will put a thin piece of wood under the rear tire to keep it off the damp concrete in the garage. The front is in a wheel chock so it's also off the concrete.

Yep. Good advice. Bought a few things from Revzilla with good results, too. They also have some good videos, especially from Lemmy.

One thing they forget to mention, is after you change your oil, restart the engine to circulate the new oil through out the engine.

Failure to do this allows the new oil to only protect the sump with new, clean oil.

And steel wool in the exhaust to keep the mice away!

I:
Fill my tank with premium non-ethanol. Add a stabilizer...I use Startron, but Stabil it fine.
Park it on a carpet runner, rubber backed in a semi-heated garage
Plug it into Deltran battery tender jr.
Keep tires at 39/39
Cover it with older clean Queen bed sheets.

I keep it away from wet vehicles, snow blowers and snow shovels.

I do not have mice, so I do not plug my exhaust with steel wool as I did in my unheated garage, but I do keep a few traps set just in case some wild field mouse gets the crazy idea that life might be better inside.

Also, recently changed all fluids, checked belt tension, brake pad wear, etc.
