Question How Long?

Anyone have a average amount of time it takes the moco to ship parts to a dealer ? I've been waiting over two weeks for a air wing for my ultra?

Depends on a few things. First and foremost is if the part is on backorder or not from the moco. If you order it from a dealer and they didn’t happen to check availability through h-d.net then you wouldn’t know. Second, depends on when the dealer actually places the trade order with the moco. Just because you order it at the register doesn’t mean that the order was actually placed. When I worked at the dealer, trade orders were only placed on Tuesdays and that’s when special orders were put in with it. So, if someone came in Tuesday afternoon after the order was already placed, their special order may not even go in until the following Tuesday. If you have a high volume dealer, it may be different.

one order per week will make only one shipping charge for the dealer. batch orders are much cheeper than getting one part at a time shipped in.

also consider, that hd may third party some items. if so, and the third party does not drop ship to you, then you have two ordering systems to deal with. then there is human error.
if third party and maybe hd too, if an item is not a big seller, they could be made on demand, this helps them with inventory taxes, a lot of companies do this to avoid getting screwed by powers to be!!!

I ordered a king tour pack for my 2019 SGS on a Saturday and had it by the following Friday. Dealer told me 4-6 weeks because it was the silver flux black fuse color. So I bought a passenger back rest for the wife that only ended up being used 3 times. Arrrrrrrr waste of money but then again I have it if I want to take off the tour pack. Of course wife now says it’s never coming off too comfortable compared to the backrest. I am still waiting for the keyed lock to match my saddle bag key. It’s been 3 weeks now for that
