Good evening all. I just had some upgrades done to my 2019 Ultra Limited, one of which included new bars. It appears that my throttle is acting backwards. Full throttle is idle and vice versa. Anyone have any clue where to start? Thanks in advance.
That sounds cool, so you twist it fwd to go that direction. Years ago on the first heal and toe shifter, I always thought Harley had that backwards. You do have it on correct side?

I would have to think that the connector would be "keyed" to prevent reversing the connection, examine them closely, if one is backwards it should be easy to detect. I can't imagine what else could have caused this.
You didn't say who did the install. If wire extensions were used it's possible the wires were reversed in the connector. If they were pieced out reversal possible also. Check for the connector at the base of the bars for matching wire colors. If the new bars are real high the connector may be in the bars.
when you start it is running wide open and you have to go full throttle to get it to idle. do you still turn the throttle normal or is that backwards also.
Throttle turns as it should. The bike wouldnt start and after tinkering with it I found that when you give it full throttle the EITMS turns on/off. Thats what clued me into a problem since normally you roll the throttle away for that, obviously. I then tried starting it at full throttle and it fired right up. Wiring connections so far seem correct. Will continue the hunt tomorrow but I assume it must be a wire issue somewhere. Thanks for your replies!
If they depinned the connector plugs to do the wiring they may have put a wire in the wrong hole in the plug when they put it back together. Check the connector at the factory end in the fairing and make sure the wires going toward the grip all have the same colors in the same spot on the connectors.
