Default How can I purchase HD keys without key number

I have a 2004 Softail Deuce, no key fob, no alarm. Lost my keys, do not have the key code or key number to order new keys. Does anyone know if I can get keys using the VIN of my bike. Thanks.

Go to your local dealership with your registration. They can order them from your VIN.

Yep the local Harley shop will fix that problem. I only got 1 key when I bought my bike (used private party). Rode to Murfreesboro (Bumpus Harley) with registration and drivers license and they ordered them. Two keys cost me 32 bucks.
And yes they will check your registration, and drivers license.

But if you have the little plastic sleeve that goes on the key don't expect to get that with the keys. And Harley don't offer them up for sale either. I found one on ebay for 17 bucks. I'm like COME ON it's a 25 cent piece of plastic made in China for 1.5 cents.

It’s surprising how flimsy the key feels without the plastic cover. My 2012 only came with one fob and one key so I ordered another fob, and 2 keys. I found the same problem as you when looking for a key cover. I’m surprised HD doesn’t sell them. They’d make plenty of profit at $5 a pair.

Thanks, and you're welcome. I've lost track of the countless parts diagrams/part numbers I've posted in the past. If it helps just one member, it was well worth my time.

On a side note, the key covers come two in a package for $2.21, and are made in USA.

It’s funny that my dealer has these in stock, but didn’t tell me they have them, for $2.33, when I bought my spare keys. And Ebay sells them for $10. Thanks for posting the parts number.
