Gear indicator
Hi i'm jimmy from sweden, new to this forum and I am hoping i post this in the right section.
I have ha 2017 road glide. I have s&s 465 cams and fueling pump and camplate. Ran it in i dyno. 100 hp 130 torque.
Now to the problem. I dont know if it started before or after the cam change. but my gear indicator is blank on first gear shows 5 on the second, 2 on the third, and 4 on the fifth then 6:th gear is blank. So cruisecontrol dont work on 6:th gear.
I have changed the clutch switch and the speed sensor and now i am out of ideas. Worst case i take it to the dealer but in sweden it is about 300 dollars just for them to take a look.
Hope i can get some tips!

Often there is a setting in the tuner that will make the gear indicator work correctly. Look in the tuning manual or contact the company that makes the tuner to see what can be done.

Thanks for your answer. The thing is i mapped the original ECU. And I spoke with the Guy who ran it in the dyno, he said its not from that. Maybe i should speak with him again.

My experience was with the ThunderMax tuner. There was a simple value in one of the settings that had to be changed. I don't remember which one, but if you mapped the stock ECU then it's a different system since ThunderMax uses a proprietary ECU. Like I suggested, take it up with a tech from the vendor of the tuner. There must be tech support that can help you.

Might not be the tuner as I am chasing a non existent 6th gear indicator and no cruise when in 6th only. I am using a PV tuner and had issue both w/ and w/o the tuner installed.
Checked or replaced:
Checked or replaced:
- Nertral switch
- VSS
- Gauges (wanted the black and not silver, 6th does not show on PV either)
- Battery (6 years old)
- Front speed sensor (intermittant ABS error throwing)
- have a code for rear speed sensor and will replace today as my Revo A's arriving this afternoon! (frond speed sensor did not fix issue)
