Most all auto stores will be competitive with Amazon and eBay on one small item, like a tube of Thread Locker. Geez ya' tightwad, go ahead and take a chance!
Lol....... ok........ in my defense......... as I stated earlier, I was used to getting the stuff at work and remember it being kinda expensive. Probably because we were required to buy ALL our stuff from Grainger and as it turns out, it IS expensive at Grainger, just not everywhere, lol! Yeah, probably just get it at the local O'Reilly's........
I have been looking on line for thread locker compounds. I know Loctite Red is for heavy duty applications, and Loctite Blue is for medium strength applications. I thought there was a thread locker that would work for small fasteners....3/16 and smaller.
Anyone know if there is such a product?

That's the stuff we used when I did small tool repair for production line tools at the car plant. Works well on 1/4" and smaller hardware.

I use the green Loctite retaining compound. Because I've had a bottle in the garage for years left over from when I was working. Used to use it on key stock.
