Default Throttle cable issue
I have a 2010 Fatboy that I raised the bars on and now the front cable fits but the rear is too long. I don’t get it. I can’t get a matching cable that will fit but both cables should be the same length.

go to www.magnumshielding.com and see what lengths are appropriate for your setup.
They have a VERY detailed section on how to measure and how to specify what you need.
Buy them wherever you want, but knowing what to order is the key.

You can get any cable you need from Barnett, they have been around for eons.

Have you tried adjusting the cable? that little of a discrepancy should be able to adjust that up.

Does the new cable have spring on it.. Maybe you ordered and got the wrong one.
