Hi, I bought a used 2021 Heritage Classic that already has passenger footboard installed. I want to install HD saddlebag guards but I need longer bolts. The HD number of the bolts are: 4519 and 4202. I'm able to determine that they are socket head 3/8-16 but I can't find information on the lengths. I'm hoping someone might have access to better information than I have. Thank you.
Measure the thickness of whatever your bolting together, add a diameter and a half min. of thread lenghth. In your case 9/16.
This rule of thumb for any bolt.
Yes, they are part of the kit but the floorboards are already installed with the shorter screws. I dont have those longer screws and I wanted to buy them locally. HD wants $20 each for them from what I can tell. I guess if I can't find the length, I'll have to buy them from HD. I'm going to have the dealer do the install.
