choke problem

Default choke problem

hello ,

ı have a lıttle problem wıth the choke.

as ıts very cold ın the mornıng here ı usually heat the engıne fırst for 10 15 mıns then ı go to work .
but lately ı notıced that the when ı pull the choke and start the engıne the choke goes back ın and the bıke stops so every tıme ı have to hold the choke wıth my hand and waıt lıke that tıll the engıne ıs heated up . ıts really very annoyıng . I went to my local dealer to fıx the problem but the guy there told me that there ıs not much to do to fıx ıt .
So ım stıll havıng same problem every mornong .
Does anybody have smthıng to say that can help me fıx ıt .
maybe ıt can be tıghtend from ınsıde the carburator ?

hope ı explaıned the sıtuatıon good , my englısh ıs not that perfect

there is a nut on the bottom of the choke, tighten it. my fatboy had the same problem. fixed in two minutes.

Don't over do the tightening or you'll have problems, just enough to do the trick and no more.

ı trıed but , well nothıng chaned actually because ıts fully tıght allready , ı wıll thınk somethıng else then .

You need to replace the cable assmy. Common the plastic nut applys tension the cable. If they slip replace them they are not much money. You have to remove the carb, to replace. Becarful when you tighten the 11/16 nut snug will work and the plastic knurled ring controls tension on the **** itslef.

yes , thats ıt , ı tıghtened that nut , a lıttle better now , but ı thınk ıt wıll be better to change ıt all ..

tryed agaın and ıt worked , for the moment .

ıll go to the local dealer and gıve hım a lıttle lesson about thıs

and yes Jım ı really need a lot of money for mods , by the way who doesnt

stıll need to buy a lot of thıngs to make her look lıke a real harley
