The other day I rode my bike probably about 20 miles.&nbsp\\; I'd say 4 of those were through stop and go traffic.&nbsp\\; The bike got hot.&nbsp\\; really hot.&nbsp\\; I spit on the engine and the saliva balled up and sizzled.&nbsp\\; Is that too hot?&nbsp\\;

Usually head tempuratures are in the 300s.&nbsp\\; Oil temps are no were near this.&nbsp\\; If your running a completely stock bike than you will definetly be the high 300s.&nbsp\\; An aftermarket fuel management will bring it down quite a bit, but it will still run hot.&nbsp\\; Your probably fine.&nbsp\\;

 

get a temp gauge. i run 180-200 here in az with temps of 100 outside, but then i have a oil cooler.

 

Hi, I run 200 degrees ( oil temp )&nbsp\\;in temps around 85-90 degrees here in the Eastern Panhandle of Wv. I can't spit on My ride tho, Wife might want to ! LOL ......WVleo

 

Try an egg next time.If it cooks it over medium,then you know its too hot.

 

Try to miss the spark plugs though.
