There was discussion over at http://groups.msn.com/DeuceOwnersTech/
You must check it out quick 'cause the MSN forum is going down. A lot of good info there, lost.
One post there that may help you out was "The SE 180 finally came in this week and I tried both the Vulcan kit and the Cycle Visions spacer today. Best fit on my '01 Deuce with the stock (chromed) rear rim and stock pulley (with chrome cover) with the SE 180 tire was no spacer at all -- set up exactly the same as with the factory 160 tire. No problems with belt clearance anywhere.
Another was "In addition to the 1/8" pulley spacer, (purchased from Vulcan, I didn't use their kit) I added a 1/8" spacer on pulley side and had 1/8" shaved off brake caliper mount. I haven't had any issues and have put over 7500 miles on with this setup. I also have bike lowered in rear 2" and still no issues. I think that I could have gotten by without shaving the caliper mount as there was enough free space in the swingarm. It is still close between the belt and tire. Somewhere between 1/8" and 3/16". Looks much better and handles great.
So, good luck and let us know how your 180 turns out.
