Default Please Help

Hi, I'm new to the forum, I have a problem with my 04 1200C. I charged up the battery and started it today, the red alarm key won't go off. I changed the turn signal bulbs to LED bulbs could this cause it. Any help would be great thanks

Yes the LED's are the most likely cause. The bike should start and run fine though. If you are concerned then they sell alarm compatible load equalizers most places LED's are sold and that should get the alarm light back to normal. I would recommend Badlands Illuminator III as it will give you run/brake/turn, equalize the system for LED's, fix the alarm isue, and you can run most any type lights you want or combine different types with no ill effects.

Very easy. Most are plug and play by unhooking the plug running to the tail light area and then plugging in the box inbetween the two connections. If you have any questions about which one is for your bike or how it hooks up, shoot them an e-mail on the contact page and they will respond quickly and thoroughly. I was very impressed with the fast service and funcionality of the product.

You can probably get a much better price by calling Badlands direct. J&P is a good place to look for parts but their prices usually aren't very good.

I installed the load equilzer, turn signals are working but the alarm icon still comes on every once in a while. Instuctions say to find the hot wire and hook it in that way. I'll try that tomorrow, let you know how it turns out..

Mine was on a 07 FXSTB at the time, and I did the same as it sounds you did...just plugged it in to see what happened. Turned out, I did not have to cut and splice the one wire as the directions say...my security light worked fine. But, one splice sounds pretty easy, just make sure you tap into the correct wire.
