Default Ghost brackets anyone?

Hey guys I really want some ghost brackets for a pair of saddlebags but i really dont wanna pay $100 + for them. Anyone here made their own? I already have the detatchable hardware screws on my fender struts. Im probably gonna head to home depot this weekend and try to find some stuff to make some sort of contraption. any pointers would be great, thanks.

Probably not as nice as the proper mounting posts, but I have seen people using threaded bar in place of the regular bolts, then sliding home made brackets on to them. You could use a nut inside the bag to hold them on??

I have a set you can have for $50 plus shipping. Before we cinch a deal measure ho far the distance is between your strut bolts to see if they will work.
