Speedometer Cable Remove

I am restoring an '82 Lowrider. Upon removing the front fender I need to disconnect the speedometer cable at the front wheel and thread it through the cable loop on the fender bracket. This may seem like a silly question but the procedure is not obvious. Any help is apreciated.
