EBAY Mistake! Tachometer
I've wanted to install the handlebar mounted tachometer on my 2010 Fat Bob but haven't got the $300+ to do it yet.
So I'm looking on eBay and find a complete tachometer with mounting system and hardware listed at 80 bucks with three minutes left on the auction. So I bid $85, go use the restroom, and come back. Low and behold, I'm the new owner of this cool looking tach. I get all excited and see the part number listed 67946-96A, do some research, and realize it's not the correct part number for my bike. Now I'm feeling like a real dumb ***.
Well, I figure it's only a couple of wires. One for power and one that gets plugged into the ignition system somewhere, I suppose. I can download the installation instructions from the HD website. So I was hoping that if I couldn't get it to work maybe my local Indy could...
Anyone with any experience willing to offer any insight? Thanks a bunch.
