Default Bar installation question.

So I had new bars out on my Dyna by a mobile Harley guy in the area. When he installed them, he cut the wires at the bottom of the bars then soldered and shrink wrapped them back together. Is that normal???

As long as he made good solder joints you should be fine. You have to have solder joints somewhere to lengthen your wires.

The problem is that he didn't have to lengthen the wires. I think he just didn't want to take the tank off.

Yea most people hide the solder joint under the tank, he saved himself a lot of time lol

Going to go 14" or 16" eventually anyway. Will just extend the wires from under the tank then. Thanks for the help guys.
