I got a set of shorty z bars that are drilled for internal wiring. I'm not going to do internal so what do I do with my wires? The stock bars have a dimple on the bottom for the wires to lay, the new ones don't...any ideas?
I elongated the holes with an angle grinder, and bent in the tab. The wires go into the bars before and back out after the clamp. Holes are about 2.5" long now. On the bottom of bars so it looks like they were dimpled if you look under there, but who's going to anyway.
Seemed like a PITA to internal wire, and I'll probably get bored with them and change out to different bars in 6 months anyway, so wasn't worth the trouble. Just zip tie the wires to the bottom of the bars and it'll look fine.

Did the exact same thing with mine. Worked great. Had em powdercoated after grinding em.
